Jello Legs

My body is killing me.  I am so so very sore.  I did SIWW today, but I don't think I can do Zumba.  I really want to, but my legs are telling me they have about had it.  They are starting to feel like jello while I walk or work out.  I feel like it might be best if I just stick to 1 workout for the next day or so, but also I don't want to feel like a failure all over again, especially if the number on the scale isn't that great.  I don't know what to do.  I feel like my body is giving me the finger, so that's probably an indicator I should take it easy.  Maybe I can just do some light walking while I make dinner.  That way I won't injur myself and I won't totally feel like I suck......

  1. Confession time...I did Zumba because everyone was raving on and on about it and I hated it! I couldn't get with it, I didn't enjoy it, I looked like a spaz...just not enjoyable. Zumba may just be the wrong exercise for you.

Try other things and stick with something you enjoy. If you don't enjoy it, you won't stick with it. I DID NOT enjoy Zumba...and when I say that I get the inevitable "WHAT??? WHY???? Zumba is like the greatest thing ever!!!!!" Not it isn't!

Keep up the hard work! I'll be right here reading along!

  2. I have tried zumba a few times and I struggle with some of the moves with my knees and I just did not 'feel' excited as those in the ads.. but all those people are fit and healthy anyway :)

  3. Thanks ladies! I actually enjoy Zumba (@Shannon, I also look like a spaz!), but I agree not everything is for everyone. @Bzybee, that's what I can't stand about workout ads/dvd's. I'm staring at these people who are in great shape and make this look easy. And for some one who hasn't worked out in a while it's not. My all time favorite workouts are Jillian Michaels because they work. That said, they also feel like a chore. I have just been over doing it a touch with the Jillian workouts plus the Zumba. Thanks for stopping by my blog, hope you enjoy it!
